About the campaign launch
The #JSuisSAFE campaign was launched by five (05) societies of gynecology and obstetrics in Africa, namely:
- National College of Gynecologists and Obstetricians of Benin (CNGOB) Society
- Gynecologists and Obstetricians of Burkina Faso (SOGOB) Society of Gynecologists and
- Obstetricians of Cameroon (SOGOC) Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics of Ivory Coast (SOGOCI)
- Malian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (SOMAGO)
The #JSuisSAFE campaign, initiated by the Gynecology and Obstetrics Societies in Africa, aims to coordinate communication efforts on abortion in the sub-region. Its goal is to provide young activists, media, artists, gynecologists, and civil and international organizations with resources to raise awareness and mobilize decision-makers. It also offers communication materials and advocacy messages on abortion for use in the daily activities of organizations.
Through these joint efforts, these member societies strive to create an environment where women can access appropriate, safe, and rights-respecting healthcare.
